FTS also focuses on the provision of transitional housing and supportive services – including social model substance abuse recovery services – to homeless, mentally ill, and substance abusing men in South Central Los Angeles. FTS’s primary goals for its transitional housing program are to: (1) provide housing, medical and supportive services to homeless and substance abusing men in South Central Los Angeles; (2) promote family reunification and support families remaining intact in the community; (3) strengthen homeless and substance abusing individuals and their families; (4) improve the health and well-being of homeless and substance abusing individuals and their; and (5) promote self-sufficiency and economic independence among homeless and substance abusing individuals.
